A leather sole shoes that costs less than $200 (USD) is something considered difficult to find. As people would consider getting high quality business shoes that have real leather soles for at least 300+, I would say that these shoes are a steal for the price. So I’m actually amazed.
The build is strong and the fit is just what I expected. The leather is stiff but it is comfortable. From experience with other dress shoes, since the shoe is new, it will take some time for the leather soften and form up with my feet.
I got the Bordeaux color which has a dark rich tone and it beautifully compliments all my non-black suits. The color is a dark brown to black in the indoors but is has a nice rich reddish brown color when out in the sun.
Furthermore, the heel of the shoe is stable and the grooves on the heel help hold traction. Since the sole are brand new and smooth, I would recommend moon walking on a carpet. It’s that smooth!
The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is that there seems to be a small discoloration on the side of the shoe that can only be recognized out in sunlight. I hope some polishing will fade that discoloration. Besides that there’s nothing else I can’t complain about.
