It’s not a myth that people judge other people by their shoes because your shoes can reveal your personality.
Most professional business people always advised that the polishing of shoes should never be overlooked. To me that’s a mediocre statement that’s too vague. However, after years of meeting several types of people, I am slowly beginning to understand how important shoes can play a role in business. Keep them clean and polished. Never go into a meeting where your shoes look like shit! If you want to read which color to choose, check this post out!
Here is how I shine my shoes to make it look like mirrors.
Use a small amount of water with an old cotton fabric.
Start polishing using a circular motion. Continue until you see the shine. The first time you do this might take an hour for each shoe. But after you past this threshold, in order to get the shine back, you just need to do this one.
Caution: Don’t use that quick shine stuff. Most can’t tell the difference how it was shined but liquid film easily captures dirt and dust. Some also say it damages the leather.
If you’re a billionaire who has the authority to dress the way he or she pleases, go for the flip-flops. For the 99%, shine your shoes.
